Essential Oil Love -- Tangerine Essential Oil
Do you love the bright, fresh smell of citrus? I do! There is something so fresh and clean about citrus oils that can't be compared to anything else!
This month doTERRA has added Tangerine as a permanent product in their oils product line! When you open the bottle it smells like you peeled a fresh tangerine - it's heaven!!! I'm so excited to add this to my everyday stash of oils!
Here's why:
Tangerine can be used internally, topically and aromatically and has a sweet citrus scent and taste.
Caution: Because Tangerine is a citrus oil it is photosensitive and should not be exposed to UV light so don't wear it topically if you will be in the sun or tanning. Also don't use in low grade plastic that it can decompose.
Internal Use:
Tangerine contains powerful antioxidants and can help support a healthy immune system.
Add a few drops to drinking water to kick it up a notch!
Use it in baking for a sweet tangerine flavor - like in cupcakes!

Topical Use:
Tangerine is an uplifting oil and promotes feelings of happiness.
Dilute with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil if your skin is sensitive. Apply to flex points or your abdomen to lift your mood.
Aromatic Use:
Tangerine is known for its energizing effects when diffused or used aromatically.
Use it on your aromatherapy jewelry to lift your mood when you feel sluggish. Place a few drops in your palm and inhale in the afternoon instead of your caffeine boost.
Cleansing Properties:
Like other citrus oils Tangerine also has purifying and cleansing properties. You can use it in place of other citrus oils in your cleaning products.
